Advent candle

 A candle with 25 hidden trinkets, exposed on burning.

It would be nice to light or initiate the candle on the first and by the end of each day have the each daily symbol/little sculpture exposed throughout the whole month.

The simpler way is to light the candle each day with a wick that goes out after the day layer is complete. Layers can be of different scents to compliment the chosen exposed item. Items could be precious metals for the up market version.

It might be quite fun to guess what is coming from the partial exposure. A bit like life really.
