Adjustable neckhole

One size fits most (?)

There are a number of pieces of clothing I own that would fit me fine except that the neck hole is too tight. I propose that we put a hole size adjuster (similar to the thing on baseball caps) on the back of the shirt's neck to increase or decrease the size of the hole.

This would also obviate the need for those annoying scratchy size tags, and I'm sure eveyone would support their removal.

Nah, not a rant. A rant doesn't contain an idea.

       Simple, nice.

I keep seeing Ackhole, whatever one of them is?

I know Hanes has started printing the tags on their shirts instead of including the patanted "drive you crazy with itchiness tag" ... many a time I've looked like a dog chasing its tail trying to rip/tuck one away

Contra drcalculus, I woud not call this a rant. But I would ask how this is not already Baked by drawstrings.
DrCurry, Dec 02 2003

How about zip-on neck rings; if the ackhole is too big, simply unzip and attach another with a smaller diameter....Imagine the possibilities!!

You get the added advantage of different colour combinations too.

[DrC] Do you have a shirt with a drawstring around the neck?

another mechanism for the adjustable hole would be two zips, running like epaulets on your shoulders. Open/close the zips for a wider, narrower headhole.

Or hook-and-loop closure like on riding jackets

I am concerned that such a garment would upset the standards of the clothing industry on an international scale. Considering the progress in plastic surgery it may be easier and safer to give all people the same neck size. That would also eliminate the need for size tags.

Just in time... I'm booked in for neck enhancement surgery tomorrow. I'm getting it made longer and thicker. I will be mostly neck not unlike the last chicken in the shop...

this may very well be good and well for nursing homes, prisons and dentist chairs, but fashion is not about comfort. its about looking ridiculous.
