Smoke screens are useful to obscure the vision of pursuers but they are short lived and so have a short period of usefulness. Using a mist of opaque adhesive could increase the effectiveness of the smoke screen. In addition to usual action of a smoke screen the adhesive would stick to the windshield
of the pursuing vehicle and possible clogging the air filter. If they should make the mistake of trying the windshield wipers it will make it worse turning the entire windshield into a smeared mess
perhaps using something like this?
