When you go to draw money from the ATM, you select how much money you would like to wager {$2 or more} as opposed to having an automatic fee. Sometimes you would win money when you make your transaction and other times you'd lose, but it would be better than losing your money every time you withdraw :-]

       And if they didn't make money, they wouldn't do it. That's pretty much the definition of a bank.
