AIR Buses
Forget light rail Modern Airship can solve transportation problems | |
For business school we are making a plan for utilizing airships for siteseeing, business meetings and event planning, and vacationing (think private charter yachts). On my search for information on airships I discovered the halfbakery idea of air limos. I think the time for air limos has not yet arrived
but what about air buses? We can utilize the already established park and rides. Until we can find good places to land in the bigger cities we can at the very least use airships to bring people closer and bus them from there. From everything I read about airships, unless something else better comes along, I don't see why there won't be an increased use of them in the near future.
If nothing else they could be used as a charter bus taking people on longer distances instead of a commuter bus.

(?) Air truck
http://www.cargolif...256b6f003dc462.html Carries 160 metric tons at around 55MPH. I thought it would be great for shipping prefab houses in the US, but the company went bust. You may be able to get it cheap. [kbecker, Oct 04 2004]

I like it. Blimps are quite slow, but cheap to move. Traffic is quite slow, but quite expensive. But I'd suggest not stopping outside cities. Just put bus stops on top of skyscrapers. |

Not fair (Oh the humanity). The movie was pasted onto the soundtrack. Most travelers were saved. Very few all in all were hurt. It was most likely an act of sabotage. In any case the safety was lowered because of Helium being limited to Germany. How many people die of modern aircraft failures, and how many continue to use the system. Oh the humanity of it! |
