Yo, herbid! Welcome to the halfbakery. |
If your picture is available on the internet, you can post a link to it here. If you're interested in people being interested in your idea, post the details here. That's what's expected. |
(Heh, "ignation": a nation of ignoramuses. I believe I could qualify for honorary citizenship.) |
Better than being indigenous. That would be an ind-ignation. |
No, no, no, read it carefully! The double sparkplug, double ignition, and double exhaust are integrated into a single unit. |
[IT], too subtle, apparently. |
//simetricaly// I don't have a comment, I just want to preserve that spelling. |
{bacon} That just means that this idea can ONLY be implemented with in the MKS measuring system. Also known as "SI" or "Metric", thus SI METRIC ALY ("aly" being the internationally recognized abbreviation for "always") Any attempt to design one of these in inches will be dealt with severely. |
[half], didn't even notice til you mentioned it.
[Ian], uurgh. |
Who, me? Mentioned what? {looks all innocent} |
[IT]'s subtlety, [half]. (I guess) |
Auggh! Someone fixed the spelling! |
Oh, sure. Take all the fun out of it. Lacking as it is in detail, that typo was about all the idea had going for it. |
I have a good point there. [ m a r k e d - for-deletion], lacking in detail. We don't do teasers here. |
(EDIT: unmarked, as the illustration probably constitutes sufficient detail) |
We do teasing, apparently. |
Yes, you're right about that. Even my last anno was sorta teasing someone, but you have to be her to realize it. |
Hopefully [herbid], and the other victim realize that no malice is intended by my teasing. |
//no malice is intended by my teasing.// No malice is perceived, I'm sure. The humor is enjoyed, at least by me. |
Thanks for the diagram, unfortunately I don't think it will work as drawn. It looks like after the exhaust port is blocked, air is supposed to flow into the chamber even though the volume is reducing. |
[caspian] Not just that, but the power stroke is starting when the rotor is positioned such that most of the force is going to go to the opposite wall of the combustion chamber, rather than to the driveshaft. |
Believe it or not this has crossed my mind before --- it is effectively a 2 stroke and therefore requires pre-compression of the intake. |
In 2-stroke fashion this will require a second rotor --- a miller cycle inspired design might use a positive displacement pump. |
