Lego Empire State Building http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/1
Over 5 foot tall but no bi-planes. [Aristotle, Jun 24 2009]

'Queen Kong' http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0075113/
Spoof of 'King Kong' made in 1976. Not much of a film by all accounts (can't say that I've had the pleasure myself) but notable for using the 'Tucktonia' model village (long since closed down alas!) to represent London. [DrBob, Jun 24 2009]

The International Association of Miniature Parks http://www.i-a-m-p.....org/aboutparks.asp
This stuff is so popular that there's even an international association of it! [DrBob, Jun 24 2009]

I assume it's designed so I can climb it and cling to the top?

You may or may not wish to thump your chest and bellow.

Can I take girls up there?? :D

Also, will the inside be accessible? Having little tykes filing papers in there and such would be a real treat.
daseva, Jun 23 2009

I read this as 10 inch Empire State Building...I guess it's the whole Spinal Tap thing
simonj, Jun 24 2009

Listen. [21 Quest] is full of shit. This is a great idea. +
daseva, Jun 24 2009

       //Can I take girls up there?//

[daseva], a Barbie doll could be provided for you to gaze lovingly at before swatting at those pesky airplanes overhead.

//I'd like to place order for 2 sets//

[21], you want two? To jump from one to the other? Or to compete against someone head-to-head in a Most Menacing Roar competition?
theleopard, Jun 24 2009

+ A mat made of shredded tire bits and designed too look like the city below should be included, to protect the little "Kong's" when they are inevitably shot down. Climbing down would be anti-climactic after a long battle.

H'bakers! You are allowing your love for the legend, [the leopard] and the toy to color your Halfbakery logic.A model of the Empire St. Bld. is readily available on Amazon- minus the mobile; it is a "take x and make it bigger" kind of idea. I'm giving it a +
dentworth, Jun 24 2009

       //"take x and make it bigger"//
I'm fairly sure that this is a "take x and make it smaller" idea, unless my last trip to NYC was a figment of my beer-fuddled imagination.
TolpuddleSartre, Jun 24 2009

You can buy 10-foot replica Empire State Building climbing frames on Amazon?! We live in a wonderful world.

Nice idea [(mans)laughter], consider it implemented.

Aaah, that eternal gift (the one that keeps on giving) from Zachary Richard springs to mind...

By the way, my faustian friend, how far away is Mephistopheles? He must have Goethe by the short and curlies by now?
4whom, Jun 24 2009

Still 43 big ideas away [4whom], I can hardly feel the hairs on the back of my neck beginning to singe!

As for Zachary Richard, er... Who Stole My Monkey?
theleopard, Jun 24 2009

I think this is a great idea. Unfortunately it kind of takes away the glory of spitting over the side, but hey...you still might get lucky and hit an ant or something. +

       + very cute!!
xandram, Jun 24 2009

If I remember correctly, Faust's epiphany occurred about halfway into the program (maybe with 43 to go). Suddenly realising that all his wisdom could never be condensed to a single field. But I suppose that is what the tale is all about. Are you any less creative, or wise, if your sphere of insight is not concentrated to one, and only one, of several possible foci. And if you do spread yourself, who would be the loser....? At some point you have to feel, selfishly, richer for the experience. Although, of course, you *do* get swallowed up by the devil.

Congrats on another good idea, you souless thought plunderer!
4whom, Jun 24 2009

Thanks... although "thought plunderer" might be an over-zealous embellishment. They be my ideas (albeit partially assisted by the Dark One); I'm not some kind of mind-pirate, ruthlessly dredging up the thoughts of others, cackling like some demented brain-buccaneer on the high seas of innovation. Far from it, me-hearties.

Thankfully, someone out there is trying to Save me, as it's now 44 to go.
