(lawn) chair General

Interlocking robot garden furniture for pest control and warfare

I have in mind something like the Qrio droid, but smaller, that can interlock into garden furniture shapes when not needed. Controlled by a pc via wi-fi, at pre-set times of the day they can go on duty, disassemble themselves out of the furniture shape and spring into action waging ceaseless hand to (Sucker? Mandible? Tentacle? ) combat against garden pests.

When duty is done, reassemble themselves into a handsome lawn chair and recharge themselves by photo-electrical power cells (necessary mains adaptor supplied for the UK market) when you're not actually sitting on them obscuring the sun, of course.

To keep up their martial prowess it might be possible to get them natty little uniforms and they can recreate the D-Day landings, Incheon, or my own favourite - with the Rising Sun flags fluttering do a recreation of the Kwantung army putting Milton Keynes to the sword in 1941.

Should the country ever need to defend its own citizens by invading an oil-rich country far away, as so often seems to be the case these days, they can be "volunteered" to go in place of their owner.

The owner can direct their actions via whatever link is the UAV's work on and so the owner can be a lawnchair general, admittedly without the lawnchair, bringing in the possibility of the first stand-up war. Which would keep it short I suppose?

For whatever reason, your chairs scare me. +

       "your chairs scare me"

(lawn) chair General (TM) guaranteed no glowing red eyes scenario (as they have blue LED's).

But, lawnchair general who has laid out for the ninja outfits, on a fine day goes out to sit on the chair.

"Ouch" he/she cries and springs up

"Number 482, careful with that shuriken"

       <very small voice> "sorry boss"
