Now that LCDs can be produced at less than an inch in size, a watch on five fingernails has been developed. Each tiny, convex, oval screen is integrated with an ultra-thin processor and battery. After being charged and correlated, they are attached to the nails with adhesive pads.

Now, *that* is a nice watch.

If there was a way to detect when the fingers were extended, the display could simply reverse (minutes on middle and index fingers, bottom of digits toward knuckle)

This would also allow detection of gestures that could trigger other display modes / messages / special effects...

Hmmm...if some acceleration detectors were integrated, could it be used to display the time hovering in mid air as the fingers were waved back and forth? For some reason my father used to make this motion with his watch hand whenever I asked him the time, and then put his watch to his ear before tutting loudly and not answering the question. With this device he could resurrect those days while providing the required information.

i suppose you could always have it radio controlled or something, or tuned into a GPS to set the time for the particular region you're in, then you could take it all over the world, and never have to change it.
