I continue to research lists of similar patents and can only find internal window screens, whole-vehicle blankets, and temporary garage to provide shade. My original idea has morphed/evolved into a base housing that might be installed/concealed underneath the front or rear bumper. You would release the shade roll from its housing and then unwind/pull it over the vehicle and hook it to the opposite bumper. When you're ready to get back into your car, simply unhook the shade and guide it back into its spring-tension housing.
