trouser wars   (+13)  [vote for, against]

Two brightly coloured teams of three members each are placed in a large daunting cage with flames shooting out of pipes and appropriate heavy metal compositions played on loudspeakers. The aim of this game is to design and build a pair of trousers within a certain time period that can overcome the other team's trousers. Whirring snippetty flicks, laser zappity pows and full frontal panel piercers are highly encouraged as players attack each other only from the waist down, with both hands high in the air.

When an entire team's trousers are out of action and can no longer function properly - a siren is sounded and a panel of trouser war experts review the match in deep and condascending voices.

I nominate Rammstein to be played on the loudspeakers.

I can see the first thing added to every pair being a stainless steel codpiece.

Robot Wars meets The Wrong Trousers. I like it (+).

I cringe to think what happens when mechanical failure is reached. All fun aside, someone would die, and I'm not exaggerating (I do Robot Wars and know the forces involved). + for the humor, - for the impracticality.
