Ok, maybe on dogs, whatever.
Each unit is a camera with position/orientation sensor and GPS unit, plus wireless transmitter, on a collar mounted on a rat. Or a dog. Or better still, lots of rats and dogs. Fuck it, why not trained pigeons or something. Oh yeah, and solar-powered.
Anyway. A central really-clever-computer processes all the views (together with position/orientation) and reconstructs a real-time, 3D view of the area of observation (nuclear power station, Fort Knox, my house) and lets you fly around it on the net.
Yes, silly I know.-- bumhat, Dec 20 2005 Someone's trying out something like this with roaches.-- DrCurry, Dec 20 2005 Except that people tend to kill roaches, which could be expensive. I guess they kill rats as well, if they're unassertive enough (the rats I mean). Pigeons are maybe better.-- bumhat, Dec 20 2005 random, halfbakery
