a lever handle that fits over a door knob and tightens as it's rotated, like an automotive oil filter wrench. It would ease access for handicapped people or maybe a semi-permanant one for people that always have thier hands full. Just hit it with your knee.

I'd like to see doors opened with a pedal. (No, not a full-blown automatic door, just a lever.)

Unfortunately, that won't solve the problem of having to fish for your key with two arms full of groceries. Foot-operable combination lock? (Yes, yes, high tech proximity sensors, yawn.)

We used to have Cannon plug pliers with plastic jaw inserts in the Nav, just about the right size too.
