Use auto sunglasses polarizing lenses to make regular glasses become 3D in the dark

One lens would become Red, the other Green.

I hesitated posting this one because there are so many 3D glasses posting, but I didn't quite see this.

I think TC is trying to say that your regular sunglasses would become the 3D glasses that are handed out when you walk into a 3D movie.

You would also have to set the up so that one lens could be horizontally polorized and the other would be vertically polorized as some movies are shown this way.

Even if this were possible... having the trigger mechanism activated by darkness means you wouldn't be able to see anything.

Actually, I think if darkness was the trigger it could be fine so long as there was a slight delay, and/or the "back-trigger" to regular mode required a level of ambient light that would not normally be present in the theater.
