It will kill all the birds. I once had a neighbor throw out an old mirror. They left it leaning on the fence. When I left for work there was a male swallow yelling at its mirror image, and every once in a while jumping at it.

In the late afternoon it was still there, still puffing itself up, and screeching at the mirror, every now and then jumping at it again.
