Breastfeeding is good for babies. Some women are concerned about the way their babies latch on. Scientists could measure if nipple flavors start or sustain breastfeeding more effectively. One possible ingredient is xylitol, a sugar that reduces tooth decay.

Sounds interesting, except I'm pretty sure latching problems are mainly about the position and mechanics of the process rather than the desire of the baby.

If you want flexibility, I'd just use duct tape and be done with it. Has the advantage that the lady can keep both hands free as she goes about her business.
