Each team consists of 4 players a Cabbie (he drives a golf cart), a Driver (the guy who drives the ball into play) and 2 Chippers (uses the irons). Each hole begins with a coin flip. Winner drives the ball into play. All four players race for the ball. They shoot the ball towards the green in the least possible amount of shots (like regular golf). But here are the main differences.
1. It's hockey-stlye contact everywhere. 2. Once you are down, the only way up is by touching the Cabbie. 3. You can only change clubs on the fly. 4. There are two putters on the green. Only the first player on each team may enter the green. 5. There is no stoppage of time until the ball enter the hole. 6. One point per hole one. If time permits, you can play past the 18th hole. 7. If the referee catches a player breaking the rules, he gives him a card (red or yellow, just like soccer/european football). 8. The Cabbie can pick up one player at a time.
Well, that's that. Enjoy - Homer X-- HomerX, Sep 20 2002 a modification of this? http://www.halfbake...-_20contact_20sport [rbl, Sep 20 2002, last modified Oct 04 2004] Nope. More of a hockey-golf-soccer hybrid. http://www.halfbakery.com/idea/ [HomerX, Sep 20 2002, last modified Oct 04 2004] self-lighting golf poem, anyone?-- General Washington, Sep 20 2002 A lot more of a sport than poncing around in silly trousers and a flat cap pretending to be a sportsman like all those overpaid and overfed regular golfers.-- briandamage, Sep 20 2002 random, halfbakery
