First I was thinking of a cradle bed which it seemed jutta and the Shakers had baked years ago. This more sophisticated model would utilize two lines of pumps, in the form of a cross, immersed in a waterbed. The pumps, powered by alternating current, would cause some of the water to flow towards the head and then towards the feet, from side to side or in a circular motion. The speed of the rocking would approximate that caused by a restless bed mate having a bad dream. This swell bed would either put you quickly to sleep or have you heaving over the railing.-- FarmerJohn, Apr 29 2002 A water bed that massages with waves. http://www.aqualax.com/e_products.htmlThis bed is getting close to this idea. [Aristotle, Oct 21 2004] These lame notions are all the better you two could come up with as a use for the "perfect wave" in bed? Good grief.-- bristolz, Apr 30 2002 Really. Lame-O. Those guys wouldn't recognize a wave physics workshop if they slept on one.-- spartanica, Apr 30 2002 Or bring your laptop and visit the halfbakery while surfing on the perfect wave.-- FarmerJohn, May 02 2002 random, halfbakery
