This is a text that is based directly on the shape of the vocal tract during speech. This way tone of voice could be incorporated. The relationship between speaking and reading would be more direct. Based on link from mechanical voice idea. (see link)

There are actually alpabets used by linguists that have phonetic markings almost like musical notation so that once you learn to read it, you can automatically pronounce anything written in any language correctly and with a correct accent IF you can read that notation. Sadly I have misplaced the ling to this but you can google it. Anyhow, I think the genius of the idea would be that if this were widely taught in schools then the problem of pronunciation would be solved. Reminds me a lot of the play/movie "My Fair Lady".

news flash!!!! The Koreans already did this!!! The Hangul ' alphabet' shapes mimic mouth positions. the symbol for M is a square, showing the mouth closed and tongue not moved.
