I can imagine something large, paper-backed (it's practical that way... *giggle*)... with the logo on the front... and a new one of those phrases every issue...
One scheme stands out in my mind:
The top ten ideas that year... and the top 5 from every section (which aren't included in the main top ten)... Comments are included (but possibly an editor would decided which go through - to avoid repetition and spam)...
Why not? What publisher would refuse?... or, if you don't want to sell out (now addressing HB) then why not make it completely supply on demand???... (although this would cost more?)...
oh yeah... and pleeease... more of the cartoons on the back of those t-shirts?-- Ossalisc, Mar 01 2004 iUniverse Publishing On Demand http://www.iunivers...jahia/jsp/index.jspThe future of book publishing? Hey, $500 or so ain't bad. [bristolz, Oct 04 2004] Catagories to include: Rookie of the year (top5) Most prone to anno a list and a user photoshop montage in the back
[+]-- Letsbuildafort, Mar 01 2004 Plus a 100-page appendix with all the ideas which were originally posted on the halfbakery and are now patented. (yes, it is blank).
I still say, publish some of our better ideas and some of the funny annotations, and it'll sell. Like the book "Retrohell" by the editors of Ben Is Dead magazine. In which the authors reminisce about 70's-80's americana/toys/culture and annotate their input about it. Wonderfully fun book.-- phundug, Mar 01 2004 I can think of billions of such examples! And lets face it... a large amount of the stuff in here is better than any fun (comic) reading material on the market...?-- Ossalisc, Mar 01 2004 If all you did was put whats here in a book, youd have an expensive printout of a website. I think you would have to add illustrations and diagrams, preferably consistent, skillfully-rendered and distinctive. (See David Macaulays The Way Things Work for a good example.)-- AO, Mar 01 2004 good point AO, and phundug i have seen a few ideas that have been baked since posting-- engineer1, Mar 02 2004 This is more or less redundant with the eternal book idea. Once a year, perhaps, but a book nonetheless.-- waugsqueke, Mar 02 2004 there it is at the top of the page in all its glory!-- po, Mar 02 2004 // I think you would have to add illustrations and diagrams //
erm... yes... which is why I have at the bottom of the idea // oh yeah... and pleeease... more of the cartoons on the back of those t-shirts? //?-- Ossalisc, Mar 07 2004 I was kinda hoping this would be some sort of flowering plant or ground cover.-- sartep, Mar 07 2004 random, halfbakery
