The Don't-Try-This-At-Home Channel   (+2, -4)  [vote for, against]
The finest collection of all things gross, dangerous and mind-bending.

A lot of TV shows have a disclaimer (or disclaimers) about not recreating the things shown on their show. Some because of their physical and mental danger, some beacause no human in their right mind would even think of doing it normally. Why not have a channel with disclaimers between shows and commercials, beacause every frickin' show has dangerous, engrossing or extreme content (i.e. like the music video for Korn's "Here To Stay"). I'm talking about the Don't-Try-This-At-Home Channel.

D.T.T.A.H.-TV is a 24-hour a day celebration of things that normal folk only have nightmares (or dreams, depending on the case) about. Shows like "Ripley's Beleive it or Not!", "Real TV", "Guinness World Records Primetime", "Jackass", "Worst-Case Scenario", "The Tom Green Show", "WWE Smackdown" and such will be broadcasted throughout the day. Also, extreme sports and fast-paced action, horror and thriller movies will be shown. You know, stuff of that genre.

Great underground video out of San Diego. Their video 'Almost Illegal' has tons of real college girls getting naked, real street fights, by far the best cat fights and much more. [frankiej, Oct 04 2004]

I just have to vote for this, a channel like this would be AWESOME... anyway, it would be cool if were actually put on the air. I mean, they make channels of all anime and video games, they could make this one too! And don't forget 'Fear Factor'!

This could parallel the Darwin Awards, in fact it could be a recreation of the Darwin Awards.

"Jethro and Cletis tried to see how close they could get their heads to a passing train before they got hit. Jethro won. It went something like this..."

[dracea5] obtained an account, posted on this and one other idea on September 2, 2003, and then must have tried something exceedingly foolish, because they were never heard from again.
