A Public website where you can sign up to officially give your permission to anyone and everyone to collect any kind of information about you -- on the condition that all the information is kept publically available. This group of people would be a publically available market anaylisis test group. Maybe the most well documented people would be models for the first superhuman AIs. Not that the people would be so smart but the machines modeled on them would have a really exact example to extrapolate the way a mind works from.

permission would make the people who granted it more attractive to companies who didn't want to worry about getting sued, and then those people would become more richly represented in a publicly available database.

I guess I was thinking more along the lines of merging all the information that Google has on the searches you've done, with all the emails you've ever written, and all the webpage clicks you've ever made and all the telephone numbers you've called and all of the advertising you've seen etc. that would be valuable information to companies.
