A fast food restuarant, sushi bar style. Here you can choose what you want on your burger, you can get stuff like nori, wasabi, roe, and even sashimi, or the traditional American stuff. All burger patties are made to order, and grilled on a hibachi, and served on a rice flour bun. Yum.-- Japanese_Coffee, Jun 16 2003 Restaurants that serve Japanese and American food certainly exist already.-- snarfyguy, Jun 16 2003 Grilled sashimi? no. Sashimi in a burger bun? yes. Grilled sashimi is a contradiction in terms.-- igirl, Jun 16 2003 So you're suggesting (still) a beef burger but topped with roe and seaweed instead of lettuce and tomato? Or did you mean a roeburger? I'd give a roeburger a croissant, but the other thing? Yuch.-- phundug, Jun 16 2003 Sushi does not necessarily include raw fish, so grilled sushi is not technically impossible, or a contradiction of terms. Sashimi is necessarily raw, so if you grill it, its not sashimi anymore, but it might still taste good.-- AO, Jun 16 2003 True, but it's a *Surf and Turf* dish.-- thumbwax, Jun 16 2003 I think what Japanese Coffee means is having a burger made out of soy or beef, which ever you prefer, and topping it with a piece of raw sashimi along with your other toppings.-- Vegan_Princess, Sep 10 2006 When you put it that way - stand by while I run that combination through my imaginary flavor simuator...Ok, I like it. But then again, I like raw fish just about any way. Not too sure about the rice flour bun though.-- normzone, Sep 10 2006 Wheat free burger for me thanks.-- Pellepeloton, Sep 10 2006 random, halfbakery
