Employers should give us slaves just ONE day a year - with pay - that we can take off from work - "just because":

It's sunny out.

It's warm out.

The dog ate my homework.

If the employeees are gonna call in 'sick' anyhow, at least this type of arrangement will give the managers an advance warning that 85% of their employees aren't gonna show up on those kind of days anyhow.

My employer gives me not one but TWO such days.  They are called "floating holidays."  I wish I had used one today.  It was beautiful.
