Now that "Battlebots" is getting shown on ordinary broadcast television (wider audience available than a cable channel), it could be appropriate for the HalfBakery to devote a category to the topic. I'm suggesting "Kombot" as a variation of "Kombat", which itself is a variation of "Combat". I didn't want to spell it "Combot" because it looks too similar to another notion altogether, "Commbot" (communications robot).
I'm going to link a couple existing Ideas that could be moved to that category. And I have a couple more notions I'd like to write down, which could fit in that category. to there ?-- FlyingToaster, Jul 26 2015 [FlyingToaster], I was not aware that fighting robots were a product you could buy in a store, like you can buy cookies in a store. (The nearest thing that I can think of are known as "Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots" but technically they are more like puppets than robots.) I would definitely say that that category deserves to be moved somewhere else. Robot fighting IS being widely treated as a sport.
