Snakes enjoy a bit of music, which is why they can be charmed out of a comfortable basket by a session of flute or horn playing. For the discerning pianist, who also just happens to own a snake, there has been no means of effectively serenading and entertaining their elongated friend whilst also playing their instrument until now, with the introduction of a new feature called Snakes On A Piano.
Snakes On A Piano is a simple addition that takes the form of a long polished tube, running around the perimeter of the piano, supported on a series of prongs just above the sound board area. (grand piano of course)
The snake, preferably a boa, enters the tube and will naturally leave its head protruding from one end just where the keys are located.
Any form of ambient music will encourage rest and sleep from mr snake, but troublesome noisy playing could lead to a lot of trouble. In the case of some varieties, a stinging bite on the offending hands is the least that can be expected. Play softly; with the right cadence, and perfect snake harmony is achieved. This encourages good musicianship along with snake appreciation.
