Slightly Amplified Knitting enables those who knit to further add to the experience by increasing the resulting sounds.
It consists of a set of knitting needles with built in mini-microphones that broadcast the resulting clickings and scrapings to a speaker hidden in the ball of wool. The volume is best set to slightly louder for maximum subtle effect.

Avast! It's the Black Purl!-- 2 fries shy of a happy meal, Dec 30 2012 Thank goodness...As long as it's not The Green Pearl.-- normzone, Dec 30 2012 I do not know this term 'green pearl'... and I am not sure that I want to.Do I want to?-- 2 fries shy of a happy meal, Dec 30 2012 How bout having the sounds trigger separate audio samples? So instead of the clicking and scraping sounds you would hear:
- explosions and gunfire - diabolical laughter - horror movie sound effects - porno movie soundtrack moans and groans - a step sequence of all the parts to Flight of the Valkyries - the latter being my favorite.
By step sequence I mean that with each loop, stitch and hook you get the next note in the song played. So it would be like: Loop-Dun... Stitch- Dun... Hook-DunDun... Parry (or whatever) Daaah... Etc. People would definitely say "Wow! What are you knitting?"-- doctorremulac3, Dec 30 2012 random, halfbakery
