Skippy The Toast Kangaroo looks like a small kangaroo, but it's actually a very good and obedient toaster.
Here's how Skippy works:
Slices of bread, when sufficiently toasted, leap upwards out of Skippy's front pouch slot one at a time. They are then caught in mid air by his two front paws, ready for serving. The gripping paws are primed mechanically by raising the tail, and browning time is controlled by rotating the ears.
A reservoir of bread is stored inside Skippy's main body, accessed by a back hatch. The individual slices are held in vertical orientation in a sliding caddy, which delivers the bread one slice at a time to the internal heating elements. As each slice is toasted, the next one slides into position and the operation is repeated.
Excess heat is vented via the nostrils, and the crumb tray is naturally located in the nether regions.
