This shelving system has a place for everything: flour, individual spices, raisins, cooking sherry, eye of newt, wing of bat, etc. Each cubbie hole can be programmed for what will sit on it and how much it weighs. Since the main brain understands exactly how much everything weighs, it also knows how much of each item is available for use.

When the Sens-O-Shelf is coupled with your computer's recipe system, It can tell you whether or not you will have enough ingredients for the recipe you have chosen -- "...Sorry, Chief, try another one; you only have a half cup of sugar left..."

Okay, so you have a slot for:

All purpose flour, bread flour, pasta flour, white sugar, brown sugar, confectioner's sugar, raisins, golden raisins, dried apples, dried apricots, prunes, dates, salt, pepper, tyme, basil, oregano, cilantro, etc?

You must have a fairly large kitchen/pantry, I don't have room for a slot for everything.

Also what about safron, where the variation in packaging weight is greater than the weight of the spices themselves. Or carrots, where it really does matter if they have the greens on top or not. Or anything that is available in different sizes and the weight of packaging relative to contents varies with size?
