After a man ejaculates, there is a period of time during which he cannot, and often cannot get an erection. Why should this be? I propose that this is because of the seminal vesicles. They must refill before erection and ejaculation is possible again. There must be some sort of biologic gauge on these vesicles that prevent things from going forward until there is a bare minimum of fluid available for a second ejaculation.
I propose that a surgical end run could be made around this system. Just as indigestible Lucite balls can be placed in the stomach to deliver a pleasant sense of sated fullness (to allow weight loss) I propose that implants into the seminal vesicles would trick the gauge into thinking these vesicles were always full to bursting, and ready to go. There would be no post-ejaculatory delay. The recipient of such implants would be inexhaustable.-- bungston, Feb 10 2005 Not much use to this guy http://icwales.icne...cles-name_page.html [angel, Feb 10 2005] Or this one http://news.bbc.co....seyside/4253849.stm [angel, Feb 10 2005] Studied this area pretty hard, eh UB?-- RayfordSteele, Feb 10 2005 It seems strange that hormones would govern whether or not a man was able to ejaculate. If these two hormones were responsible, there would have to be a tremendous change in one or both at the time of orgasm such that another orgasm was not immediately possible. I am pretty sure testosterone levels do not fluctuate wildly. I do not know about inhibin. I suppose it might all go away at the time of orgasm, but really the only way the sertoli cells could pull this off is if they were cranking out inhibin like mad, all the time, and the stuff had a half life of a few seconds. If they stopped, inhibin levels would fall fast. But I dont know.
