I know I didn't invent this idea, but why hasn't anyone realized that a significant number of half-baked musicians didn't get the joke and marketed an amp that goes to 11? Unfortunately I've forgotten the title of the second one (the original movie was 'This Is Spinal Tap') but it took place just after the events in the first movie.
For *real* Spinal Tap fans, there's "Break Like The Wind", the band's 1992 release which was voted the Worst Album of the year (by someone). The CD's pretty hilarious, and there are dozens of world-class musicians that guest on it, including Waddy Wachtel, Jeff Beck, and Dweezil Zappa.

Once, many years ago, while putting a simple cascaded preamp/master volume control mod in an old Marshall 50W head, I realized that since two of the knobs had been repurposed I needed to redo the panel lettering. So, while I was at it, I changed the max number on what was now the preamp gain control from a "10" to an "11".
