The large, stiff, foam raft has a narrow path around its perimeter, surrounding a maze with a 4 inch (10 cm) ball. One or more bathers (even opposing teams) run around the edge to cause the raft to tip in their direction, moving and steering the ball from start to (their) finish. Over-tipping means participants can slide off and have to remount.
The raft labyrinth is perfect for public or private swimming pools, lake or ocean side, and aqua fun is guaranteed by all. The maze can be reassembled into innumerable variations, and the raft comes in square, hexagon or circle shapes. The first ten orders receive, free of charge, the bathtub maze including a perimeter-running lab rat.-- FarmerJohn, Aug 20 2003 Labyrinth rafting http://www.navtec.com/pages/green-4.html [2 fries shy of a happy meal, Oct 04 2004, last modified Oct 21 2004] Egyptian water labyrinth http://www.catchpenny.org/labyrin.html [mystic2311, Oct 04 2004, last modified Oct 21 2004] One of these, hard mounted, would be a great addition to any playground.-- rbl, Aug 20 2003 It would be fun to round up some hunnies and go skinny-mazing-- DeathNinja, Aug 20 2003 Egyptians had a water labyrinth at Lake Moeris.
