I propose a straw with a radiator attached, to cool the liquid down. The radiator would be either:
As a separate standing unit (made of silver with a (battery powered) fan in high-end models)
-or as an integral part.

better yet, radiate heat OUT of a room temperature drink. Thermoelectic cooling straw placed in a room temperature beverage results in perfectly cooled refreshment my the time it hits your taste buds.

Reminds my of going to restaurant with my family in the 70's. Dad, having a too-hot cup of black coffee would gather up silverware from the rest of us and let it sit in his coffee for a minute. Heavy silverware (especially butter knife handles) absorb heat quickly.

It'd only be room temp if you took an infinatly long time to drink it. To have a less cooled down / warmed up drink, drink it faster.
