Pots and Pans Press   (+1)  [vote for, against]
unwarping

After a few years, thin aluminum pots and pans get all bent out of shape: the bottom is no longer flat, which means one has to go out and blow $10 on a new one or spend time during each meal preparation positioning the pan 'just so' on the stove.

The idea is a hand-press, with various-sized inserts, that simply squishes the bottom of the non-conforming cookware back into flat.

Takes half a minute, costs $2; a sideline at a keycutters or cobblers.

Using aluminum may be problematic http://articles.was...zheimer-daniel-perl
Perhaps more research is needed, just to settle the issue, one way or the other. [Vernon, Jul 23 2013]

It's much easier to just buy cast iron pans. They last (almost) forever.

Can't you just use your mother's steamroller to flatten the pans ?

Why is this not already?
