A fully-automated Pizza Kiosk. FROZEN slices of pizza are rotated through an oven and are delivered piping hot, one slice at a time. Depending on traffic patterns, pizza slices could be in varying stages of completion. A timer could present the number of minutes until served.
The machines could be franchised and placed nearly anywhere.
A beverage machine could be combined providing for additional sponsorship. Perhaps a Dominos & Pepsi experiment.-- timbuktu11, Mar 26 2003 Pizza Vending Machine http://www.snackpoint.co.uk/PMVending.htm [my face your, Oct 17 2004] Fresh Pizza Vending Machine http://www.pizzanew...vending_machine.htm [my face your, Oct 17 2004] Ever toasted a frozen pizza dinner? Ugh. [You might call for an automated pizza oven, but you know what will happen in practice.]-- DrCurry, Mar 26 2003 You could top your own pizza using a robot arm controlled by a little joystick. Special prize if you can pick up the anchovy (and drop it down the rubbish chute).-- pottedstu, Mar 27 2003 Ok, not such a great idea. But rotating ovens in convenience stores are simply cookers. I was thinking of a self-maintaining vending machine with frozen pizzas that are cooked on demand. No waste. I suppose the freezer section could pump out smoothies ;)-- timbuktu11, Mar 27 2003 Baked, sorry.
This concept has even gone so far that in New York there's a vending machine DELI.
Damn YUPPIES.-- Freelancer, Mar 27 2003 There was (famously) a vending machine deli in NYC forty years ago. But we've talked about that over and over. And it didn't do pizza.-- DrCurry, Mar 27 2003 Vending Machine Deli? Now that would be cool. Robotic arms that slap together a great sandwich. Grab a knife and slop on Mayonaise. Ok, to go where no other vendo has gone, the Pizza Kiosk's robotics can toss a crust, pour sauce, place toppings, etc. while whistling a classic Italian song.-- timbuktu11, Mar 28 2003 random, halfbakery
