Halfbakery: Meeting
Not Quite a Halfbaked Meeting   (+1, -1)  [vote for, against]
Precorded snippets edited into a cohesive conversation...

Since timezones are sometimes a challenge for virtual meetups, we could try a bit of performance art and see how hilarious the results are.

Here's the scoop: everyone participating submits 10 or 20 random clips of them speaking sentences of their choosing, some quite wild bits, some just maybe "uh huh," to whomever has the best video editor, they al get mashed together, and much hilarity ensues.

Interesting...

How about everyone posts in a small smelly item and a new stink bomb odour is constructed? We can use 8th's address as the mail drop. There won't be any complaints as his neighbours are very tolerant, otherwise they'd have burnt him out years ago.

Some ideas for snippets:

*bored into sleeping*
*You don't mean! Holy Smokes! To the Half-Cave!*
*various confused looks*
*blathering on about some tedious and long-winded topic*
*I think so, Brain, but how will we get the lobsters to wear pants?
*BECAUSE I SAID SO!*
*Brits drinking tea*

etc.

Could be lots of fun.

// small smelly item//

If you're wrapped up inside the package, how will you get it to the Post Office ? It's not as if you have any friends you can ask to help out, and if you leave yourself on the doorstep for a courier to collect you'll be taken away by the garbage collection truck...

// very tolerant //

Sp. "cowering in mortal terror".

// "Okay, I've finished splicing the tape..." //

This is weird; all we heard was "This message is endorsed by the 1972 Committee for the Re-election of the President " and then mostly just silence or clicks and bursts of static, almost as if the recording had been deliberately wiped ....

Clips originating from the Borg shall be virus-scanned, bleached, and reviewed by our crack team of censors and cryptologists to check for hidden messages, orders to sycophants, and alien technological influences.
