Love this one+-- zeno, Feb 11 2010 I researched facial recogniton and metrics around the turn of the milennium and you can probably just about work the position of an upper lip in a picture with a clear enough face. The relationship between nose and upper lip may be one of the metics used in some systems to reduce facial proportions into a mangeable set of numbers.
People use this kinds of techniques to create 3D avatars from film and pictures.
Find the upper lip, the proportions of the face and the angle that face is pointing in then you can probably add a moustache.
