Ispired by [AusCan]'s Ultra Compact Christmas Tree, this Christmas tree would need no tree at all and hang from the ceiling.Every led light, ball, and ornament are wafer thin when packed away but spring origamically into 3d shapes when unpacked and are counterballanced in ever widening concentric patterns to form a conical tree shape.
The slightest breeze in the room sets each individual section to rotating merrily at random.

[DrCurry, Dec 26 2012] + could be made with origami, too!
