Work on yourself, with yourself

What's it like to work with you? Are you a pleasant colleague, a willing team member who cares for others? Or are you a cantankerous, self-centred (and smelly) misanthrope? You probably have some idea what your good and bad points are, but you can rest assured that your co-workers aren't going to tell you the bald truth.

Now you can find out exactly what it's like for people who have to work with you. At Mirror Me, we will give you the unique experience of working with yourself. We will despatch to you a "Mirror", an experienced method actor who will accurately duplicate your style, look and personality. After an initial assessment interview to orient them as to who you are, your Mirror will shadow you for two weeks observing your every move and listening to your every word. Once he or she has perfected your character, they will then work alongside you (in a non business-critical role, but one involving a lot of close contact) for another period of two weeks. This period will be spent entirely in character, including make-up, wardrobe and even perfumes and odours. You will finally find out if you could work with yourself or not. Best of all, if you find out that you are totally insufferable, at the debrief your Mirror will be glad to discuss behavioural techniques to change anything about yourself that you find intensely irritating.

Mirror Me now offer a "Partner" service in addition to the "Office" service. Could you live with yourself at home?

Mirror Me - showing you the truth since 2006.

Very nice. I can imagine this even being useful.

I really can't imagine anything more horrific... Does 'Mirror Me' carry insurance to the value of the remainder of someone's life being spent gibbering on a psychiatric ward?
-- Azazello, Jul 30 2006

I can imagine this being scary...[+] all the same.

//even perfumes and odours// That could be tricky. We are so used to the smell of ourselves that we would never notice, even if our mirror was doused in the cologne that our co-workers hate.

Interesting idea, but I would rather have someone just video tape me all day long. Then watch the tape to see what others see.

I would prolly kill myself.

[+] Bun for the wagster, but I would probably have slapped myself 10 kinds of silly after day 1 of the implentation....

This would be great for people with personal hygiene issues... Or would it...?

Nice. It might work well if you were also able to secretly observe your "Mirror" in a number of business and social situations. The other thing you could do would be to generate statistics - e.g. your "Mirror" watched 3.5 hrs of television per day while being you, and used the word "like" on average every 25 words in conversations.

If your job was,oh say a game tester, you could play with yourself in public.
