Product: Glue
MetalGlue - Conductive glue   (-2)  [vote for, against]
Fix your electrical applicances without being an electrician.

No need for solder anymore.

This shouldn't be a problem to make, and could be very handy.

The earphones wire detached? Just put a bit of metalglue on the tip of the wire and a drop on that metal surface and put the two together. Blow on it lightly and its fixed. Same for my phone, every time it falls.

Found this on HB before posting - Conductive Paint http://www.halfbake.../Conductive_20Paint
But it's a different idea, and definitely a different usage [pashute, Oct 18 2002]

Google Search... http://www.google.c...&btnG=Google+Search
...for "conductive glue" [st3f, Oct 18 2002]

...and the first link... http://www.hollands.../eng-shieldokit.htm
...thrown up by google. [st3f, Oct 18 2002]

Silver-loaded conductive 2-part epoxy has been around for a few years. I'll try to find a link.

Links added.

As 8th says, this sort of stuff has been around for ages. I've never used it myself so can only assume that this does what you want.

[marked-for-deletion] consumer advice?

But did you try any electrical outlets?
-- DrCurry, Oct 18 2002

In common use and easily found with a search.

spreading widely can cause electrical interference.

Although glue seems the easy way out, it will probably not be as effective or conductive as just taking some solder to it would be.

// Try filling the socket on a powerpoint with it... //

<suspicious> [FarmerJohn], is that you ? </suspicious>

// But did you try any electrical outlets //

[DrCurry}, you should be ashamed of yourself.
