Ear piercings which consist of powerful rare-earth magnets with stud attachments.
Install in ear; face mask has corresponding metal tabs that stick to the ear piercings - simply "click" on. No need to hook a tickly cord around the ears, doesn't interfere with spectacles.

There are lots of variations around the idea, but nothing that's exactly the same. Hence, it's an innovation.
