That dreaded category...
The knowledge base on here is tremendous, but we're only supposed to draw upon it in the form of annos on an idea. We can email a user but for additional info we'd have to email other users, back and forth. Gets to take a while.
A MFD Q&A is a basic query for info from anyone to everyone that expires in a week. Basically the same as a previous idea <el linko> but it would only consume disk space for 7 days; get your answers from people you're comfortable with before the clock runs out.-- whatrock, Oct 22 2020 Like this, for 7 days. Halfbakery_20Science_20Q_26A [whatrock, Oct 22 2020] StackExchange https://stackexchange.com/Best place on the internet to get answers to technical questions. [xaviergisz, Oct 22 2020] https://stackexchange.com/sites# https://stackexchange.com/sites#Like this, but populated with actual real halfbakers. [zen_tom, Oct 22 2020] //get your answers from people you're comfortable with// In that case you shouldn't be posting your question here!-- pocmloc, Oct 22 2020 Sounds like youre after a Halfbakery chat forum...-- hippo, Oct 22 2020 It does make me wonder how many halfbakers are spread across the Stackoverflow/StackExchange multiverse - there's a nice selection of physics, mathematics, computer games, theoretical computer science, role playing games, network engineering, data science, practical statistics, economics, world building, blender, anime & manga, medical sciences, artificial intelligence, Esperanto, Latex, Quantum Computing, Graphic Design, English Language & Usage, and many more besides - plus, quite often the various communities can get quite techy and prone to piques of passion.
In terms of the idea, were halfbakers to feel so inclined, they might self-identify as being active in a particular community, or someone with a question might post a link to their question here (or some similar location), with a request for some halfbaker sourced input.-- zen_tom, Oct 22 2020 //...halfbakers ... might self-identify...// - What's the First Rule of Halfbakery Club???-- hippo, Oct 22 2020 Errrr ... "Never wash a window with a soft-boiled egg" ... ?-- 8th of 7, Oct 22 2020 "soft-boiled *duck* egg"-- hippo, Oct 22 2020 Soft boiled eggs (duck or otherwise) should only ever be used as a preparation to boost the bass frequencies on vinyl LPs containing contemporary American music from the pre-jazz genre - the albumen blooms and the blues albums boom.-- zen_tom, Oct 22 2020 ^ The duck preparation is tested on the baseline <snurk...bass...> LP recording "Balloons, me bum!" by bluesman Bo Mol, of course.-- Sgt Teacup, Oct 22 2020 The audio was feathered. *ducks*-- Voice, Oct 23 2020 At least the record wasn't quacked.-- pocmloc, Oct 24 2020 random, halfbakery
