Get Your Gas Giant Diamond Here

Diamonds seem to be falling out of the sky on our gas giants (see linky). With Juno on its way out there to scout, perhaps it's time to consider an atmosphere hopping fishing trip

Someone will try to get these giant diamonds to build a LASER, the idea should be how to stop them before it's too late, and the LASER has already started burning a charred path through innocent people's families!

The diamonds will exist down at levels where the pressure is high enough to create them. Getting something down to the point of collecting the diamonds would likely be quite difficult.

On the other hand, a large enough disturbance might excavate some of this diamond rain into a low, temporary orbit. So... Comet Shoemaker-Levy may have just been a mining demo.

Getting something down to the point of collecting the diamonds would be quite easy.

Getting something down to the point of collecting the diamonds without it being crushed beyond functionality, and then getting it out again in one piece, would likely be quite difficult

Nah just make a big scoop out of diamond.

But the question is why. Once again we come to the fact that the energy cost of artificial diamond is below the current energy cost to mine them on earth, let alone collect them on Jupiter and return them to earth.

But....but....but these are Jupiter diamonds!

But are they eco-friendly renewable organic carbon-neutral diamonds … ?
