The list would include the total scores and count of ideas, and the detail would just be a link to the current "account information" screen.-- eagle, Jul 24 2000 oke? http://www.google.c...se+-expiry+-car&lr= [postseti, Jul 10 2002] hotmail and or yahoo mail http://www.google.c...om+@hotmail.com&lr= [postseti, Jul 10 2002] Noddy had one idea, bless him http://www.halfbake...a/universal_20alertSteve you continue to amaze me.... [po, Jul 10 2002] list of *some* prolific HB users http://www.halfbake...20ideas?op=editviewA view of users and the number of ideas they have posted. sorry if I've missed anyone [xaviergisz, Feb 15 2010] People are obsessed enough with the voting thing as is, even without seeing their names publicly ranked.-- jutta, Jul 24 2000 I agree -- Maybe just have a count of how many ideas have been submitted by each account-holder.
I guess that competition for "I've got the most croissants!!" is not the best breeding ground for original ideas.-- eagle, Jul 24 2000 I'd like to see people ranked by "grumpiness index": the ratio of negative to positive votes they've given (not received!).-- egnor, Jul 24 2000 I agree with jutta. Ideas "occur to" me, rather than "I have" ideas. They're often directly inspired by others' ideas. So less focus on personality is good; it's best when the ideas are on the stage. It might even be better if my list of ideas (on the user page) was only available to me.-- syost, Jul 25 2000 Jutta: why do people get obsessed with the voting system? I think the voting system is a great idea, but if one gets a fishbone, does this mean the idea is very half-baked, or plain boring?-- ccaamgw, Jul 25 2000 I don't know any of this, and don't think I'm supposed to.-- jutta, Jul 25 2000 Howabout a slight alteration, then? I know that you can get a list of everything a person has authored by clicking their name, how about a "by author" choice under Idea - next to "by name". More work for jutta, I know...
(BTW, why do we really bother voting on HB-directed ideas? It's _her_ site. No matter what the voting says, it's up to our illustrious webmistress to implement the stuff on her miniscule free time.)-- bear, Jul 28 2000 Dunno about anyone else, but there's certainly only three of me.-- Lemon, Aug 14 2000 Us too.-- hippo, Aug 14 2000 There is only one of me.-- blahginger, Aug 14 2000 There is only one of me too.-- blahginger, Aug 14 2000 A halfbakery list: User, website, email address, date account created.Same thing we'd find on an individuals full profile, minus halfbakery submissions and their respective vote status. I believe it would/could/should be necessarry to have a member logged in to be able to view the list, let alone contact as preventative measure against unwarranted intrusion.-- thumbwax, Feb 17 2001 To help myself out with song-writing, I've maintained a partial list of just usernames as I come across new ones. I probably will never get a full user account list, but that's okay.-- RayfordSteele, Jul 09 2002 That sounds like a challenge, Steve...
Heave a Proof, weave a spoof, grieve a goof, leave aloof...-- RayfordSteele, Jul 09 2002 postseti: full marks for creative use of search engines.-- DrCurry, Jul 10 2002 even if it is in dutch...-- [ sctld ], Jul 10 2002 Ill share with you The awful truth. Behind the mask Of Steve deGroof, A monster lurks, I have the proof! I saw him lope Across the roof In ape-like style, twas so uncouth. As moonlight shone from canine tooth. Lets stop this fiend! Dont stay aloof! Well hunt him down, This Steve deGroof. Dont worry folks, Its just a spoof!-- DrBob, Jul 10 2002 <applause>Now try [ sctld ].-- angel, Jul 10 2002 Eagle says that 'competition for "I've got the most croissants!!" is not the best breeding ground for original ideas'. I agree.... the number of fishbones is a better marker, since original ideas are so often initially rejected.-- pfperry, Jul 10 2002 A rhyme for [ sctld ]? It's hard to crack it. Unless you pronounce That last square brackett.-- DrBob, Jul 10 2002 Sorry, the brackets are silent, like the 'p' in 'sea'-- [ sctld ], Jul 10 2002 bottled, mottled, wattled...-- DrCurry, Jul 10 2002 Dodgy pronounciation there DrCurry.-- [ sctld ], Jul 10 2002 befuddled, huddled, muddled...-- RayfordSteele, Jul 10 2002 Just pronounced the same as 'scuttled'.-- [ sctld ], Jul 10 2002 buttled, muttled, wuttled...-- DrCurry, Jul 10 2002 Yes. But sctld (without brckets) needs to be reffered to as sctldave.-- [ sctld ], Jul 10 2002 SDG: Wow, that takes forever to load. The database must be buzzing like crazy to get those stats. I hope jutta's implemented some way of buffering/caching commonly-made searches.-- pottedstu, Jul 11 2002 Steve's second link crashed my browser twice. I didn't dare try it at third time. [later] Tried it the third time from home. I'd just like to second 'stu's Wow!-- DrBob, Jul 11 2002 random, halfbakery
