Pre-choreographed kung-fu routines performed in the street like street theatre. A typical performance could start with a little Chinese stall owner being oppressed by a cruel rich man and his laughing cronies. In leaps the honourable hero to teach them all a lesson with crane style and bad dubbing. Props such as collapsing stops, Chinese chairs and inexplicably placed weapons (blunted of course) could be supplied to enhanced the performance.-- harderthanjesus, Jun 23 2004 Seems relevant http://www.poe-news...ures.php?feat=31845though probably hugely old news [calum, Oct 05 2004] I've heard of improvised martial arts street performances, but not choreographed ones. So this pre-choreographed version seems original.-- robinism, Jun 23 2004 Woe is the poor sap who tries to be brave and steps in to help, only to have all the performers turn on him for using actual violence on one of their buddies... [Kung Pow]-- normzone, Jun 23 2004 "I'm sure your style is very good on whatever planet you're from but unfortunately this is Earth."-- harderthanjesus, Jun 23 2004 Cool, even better if a hidden vocal soundtrack is played that they mime (badly) to.-- zen_tom, Oct 27 2004 I'm an enormous fan of hong-kong kung-fu movies, I particularly like early jackie-chan (sod the plot, there never was one, never will be)
I'd come and see this if you were to actually bake it :)
bagel++-- SammyTheSnake, Oct 28 2004 With you on Jackie Chan. He could have called his movies "Jackie Chan I", "Jackie Chan II" etc. They're all well-nigh identical, and have hysterical outtakes at the end.-- david_scothern, Oct 28 2004 when do we break into slo-mo? what about wires?-- elfling, Oct 29 2004 That would be fun. +-- sartep, Oct 29 2004 random, halfbakery
