Knifeforkandspoonasaurus is a method of storing large amounts of cutlery that quickly reveals any missing items.
Instead of putting knives, forks and spoons in a drawer, the items are placed into spaces corresponding to the fanned slots on the fins which run along the back of an appropriately scaled down stegosaurus. (see pic) Garage version for spanners and other small tools under development.-- xenzag, Sep 04 2012 http://www.paleo.cc/ce/stegosaurus.gif [xenzag, Sep 04 2012] This is the sort of thing that would highlight office teaspoon theft better than waiting until the cutlery drawer is empty of all but dust.-- calum, Sep 04 2012 Those fins look sharp and prickly. Daresay.-- blissmiss, Sep 04 2012 No relation to the dyathinkhesaurus? Does it come with a built in heavy actuator for making the water in a glass ripple..-- not_morrison_rm, Sep 04 2012 I suppose if you are not using your kitchen dinosaur every day then it makes sense to have a place to store it. But I prefer to leave mine out, as it saves time when you want to have a go.-- pocmloc, Sep 04 2012 I think it's cool, so one bun.
Alternative to the plates on the back would be a) toast or b) processed cheese slices.
Just out of interest, with all that ironmongery, how does it react in a pole switch?-- not_morrison_rm, Sep 04 2012 random, halfbakery
