I mean, however would George Washington have managed the Inchon landings if he was tweeting about it every 5 minutes?
WWII would never have started as Hitler would be looking at cute puppy pics on the net, while leaving snarky comments on Goering's Facebook page.-- not_morrison_rm, Jan 12 2019 alt code chart https://i.pinimg.co...a987ead13c64ef0.jpg [2 fries shy of a happy meal, Jan 12 2019] // Goering //

Education. It's probably uncommon where you come from.
Sp. "Umlaut" (or Diaeresis)-- 8th of 7, Jan 12 2019 An umlaut is not the same thing as a diaeresis. Göring had an umlaut. Coöperate and reëlection (strictly speaking) each have a diaeresis.
The umlaut modifies the pronunciation of a single vowel. The diaeresis indicates that two vowels are not to be merged.

Yes, we know. The linguistic function is different, but the cymbal is the same.

A disturbing though. If people start learning things* - or think they're learning things - from the halfbakery, the consequences could be disastrous.
