This simple device, operated by mouth, gas cartridge or electric pump, once inflated, looks just like a toddler asleep in a car seat. Inflate, add a blanket (for more authenticity), then walk away, safe in the knowlege that no bastard will tow away a car with a toddler inside.

Deluxe models of the inflatable child seat and child could burst into tears and cry when movement of the car is detected, thus acting as an excellent car alarm. [Lemon, Jul 13 2000, last modified Oct 17 2004]

On the other hand, expect to find your car windows broken and your car surrounded by angry EMS, police, and firefighters after a curious passerby spies the baby, notices it isn't breathing, and calls 911.

Even if you rig the faux infant to mimic breathing, you'd better not use it on a hot day or you might still get the above result.
