Haunted House of Injustice   (+4, -2)  [vote for, against]

To avoid such instances where a person is acquitted of an offence due to having a smart lawyer using legal loopholes or technicalities, I propose an additional final stage in the judicial process.
Following the 'Not Guilty' verdict, both the lawyer and his client are taken from the court and transported, ultimately by boat, to the 'Haunted House of Injustice'.
The 'Haunted House of Injustice' is on a nearby deserted island and was previously an Asylum for the Criminally Insane. It was built on an ancient indian burial ground, and conforms to any other horror cliche you care to mention.
Once there, they are left to spend the night alone together before the boat picks them up the following morning.
A cheaper alternative, perhaps for less serious offences, could involve a sleep-over at the lawyer's house.
Suddenly helping a client get away with a crime, without being pretty sure they were innocent, would become far less appealing.

sp. not boat but Ferry - They must pay the Ferryman with an old (1675) sixpence.
Also, on arrival, they are greeted by a very thin and tall cloaked/hooded stranger with a sythe.
I love the idea of a disused asylum FTCI, BTW [creepy-bun-tastic]

Isn't there supposed to be a "c" in that word?

so basically after every trial, Judge Judy gets a hack at it to determine whether it was a fair just trial or an unfair just trial ? There is such a thing as "appeals".

I'm not fond of the idea, to be honest, "not guilty" should be the end of it, however you got there, you're there.

I would favor this as punishment for some slight forms of "guilty" however.
