Battery powered hand mixer

Yeah, I know, Black & Decker makes a battery operated single whisk mixer and there are a pile of battery powered “drink mixers” out there. I’d like to see a full powered double whisk battery powered hand mixer. They make battery powered drills, why not a kitchen mixer?

Dynamic FTP94 Cordless Whisk http://www.selectap...ce-product/dm_ftp94
Could be more powerful and have multi-speed settings to be more useful. Impressive price. [jurist, Jan 22 2006, last modified Jan 23 2006]

Morphy Richards 48960 GO Cordless Recharge 3-in-1 Multitool http://www.edirecto...cid=880&afid=105749
This looks like a useful and economical tool to have in one's kitchen drawer, although it still needs a *Tim Taylor* upgrade. [jurist, Jan 22 2006, last modified Jan 23 2006]

Hardly an earth shattering idea, but it sounds reasonable and easily made from power tool technology. I wouldn't buy it, but I'm sure many people would.

I suppose the reason being is that most kitchens have electric power sockets to hand.

Sure, lots of power sockets, but one less cord to dangle across the counter (except the one running to the charger :)

An even better one would be to use that coil and magnet arrangement that you shake to charge up. Usually these are in flashlights, but it would work well for this. As you shook it, you could also be mixing things. You might find that it was all mixed by the time the battery was charged, and smile satisfiededly as you wiped away a sheen of sweat with your flouery hand.
